Prof. Blöschl assesses recent progress and future research needs on water and climate change.
He argues that offering insightful explanations for predicted impacts of climate change may be more helpful than perfecting the absolute magnitudes of what are inherently uncertain changes. Such a nuanced assessment will have wider acceptance in the society and will bring more credibility to the research community. It will also convey a message to politicians that there are no simple answers to the complex system issues involved. For the publication in Public Service Review: Science and Technology see
